The Dew Drop Inn

The lunch hour at Ravenna’s Dew Drop Inn can come at any time of day or night. New owner Tonya Dale bought the restaurant a little over a year ago, after waiting tables here growing up.
“I believe the Dew Drop is a staple. It’s been in Ravenna as long as I can remember,” Tonya said.
Tonya worked at the Dew Drop Inn and her mom did too. The restaurant with a friendly and relaxed atmosphere holds a lot of memories.
“It really meant a lot to me and take it over and get things going to where they used to be.”
Everyone lines up for the buffet, fried chicken dinners, burger nights on Fridays, and of course the Goop! It’s two over easy eggs and hashbrowns topped with cheese, gravy, four sausage links and a side of toast. “It sounds terrible but that’s what a lot of people come from a lot of places to just eat that.”
The hungry appetites of Burlington Northern employees keep the Dew Drop chugging along. The railroad has a contract with the restaurant that keeps it open 24 hours a day.
“It’s so unpredictable. You can have 10 people in an hour. You can have 25. It can be anywhere from two to four o’clock in the morning and people are showing up whenever,” Tonya said.
Growing up, Tonya called the Dew Drop Inn her second home. As its owner, she calls diners her guests and welcomes their empty stomachs no matter what time of day.
