Nebraska Rural Living

Nebraska Rural Living is a web-based business with a mission to market the rural lifestyle and business opportunities in south central and southwest Nebraska communities.  Our focus is regional, and our market includes people in the world with expressed interest in rural living as well as current and former Nebraska residents.

Nebraska Rural Living started in 2005.  The business concept was inspired in part by a quote by James Clifton, President of the Gallup Corporation who was reported in the Omaha World Herald to say, “What would make Nebraska a great state is to recognize and appreciate great entrepreneurs and inventors in the same way it recognizes and appreciates great quarterbacks.  Right now it is not even close.”  In response to the quote by Dr. Clifton, Nebraska Rural Living on line magazine interviews entrepreneurs and inventors and publishes their stories in the newsletter.

Nebraska Rural Living publishes a monthly newsletter that attracts approximately 30,000 readers every month who linger on the site to read entrepreneur stories and business start-ups, community profiles, Career Link jobs site, Rural Foodies column, Things to Do in the region, real estate offerings, essays on topics of interest in rural Nebraska.

The website is paid for through the following sponsors:

Phelps County Development Corporation, First National Bank of Holdrege, First Bank and Trust in Minden, communities in the region including Alma, Arapahoe, Axtell, Benkelman, Bertrand, Cambridge, Eustis, Holdrege, McCook, Minden, Oxford, and Red Cloud.

We want to talk about how our marketing business differs from others and how communities benefit when they join Nebraska Rural Living and how to become a sponsor
